Corgi Volkswagen 1200 383
Well decorated and in not bad condition, but on taking apart the suspension spring, a bit of plastic, was cracked so this will have to be re-invented. The front bumper was a little twisted but did not complain when I realigned it. The paint was stripped with aircraft paint stripper and all the decals disappeared. The big problem with this was the broken suspension. The solution was to cut a piece of tin plate and screw it into place. Sounds simple but many other things were tried. The plastic suspension part is also used to hold the interior into place and the pegs had to be shortened to accommodate the thickness of the tin plate. The finished job is not as good as the original but is a good repair to a piece of junk. Not really worth the effort put into it but good practice./images/383 Volkswagen 1200 base.jpg)
