Dinky Jaguar 157

Received in very poor condition with the central windscreen pillar missing and part of a job lot of three. The chassis removed, paint stripped, and the pillar was replaced before a respray. The chassis was rusted so a brutal wire brush treatment was necessary before a coat of black paint was applied. The two color finish was achieved with masking tape and finished with a brush. Silver applied to the grille and bumpers finished this car off.

I guess this car must have been painted at least three times over the original red. The final coat was silver but there was yellow and black underneath. I am confused a little by the yellow as it was inside the car as well but after stripping the paint the only color left was red. Judge for yourself by the images as the yellow could not have easily got where it was without removing the base. There was a little damage to the left front fender and chassis and the roof surface was pitted. Straight forward strip and respray
