D021 : Dinky Mercedes Benz (Spun Hubs) 237

Well play worn, no driver, steering wheel or tires, and ripe for restoration. Bearing the number 30 rather than 36, I have the chance to put any number on this model.

D123 : Dinky Mercedes Benz (Cast Hubs) 237

Front end damage, front wheels jammed and a buckled chassis marks this one as a necessary restore. No driver but otherwise complete. Several repaints but the original cream and red hubs. The newer paint was removed with a gentle paint remover hoping to find the number decal. The number was found and it was the standard 30 (see photo). The chassis was removed and straightened and lined up with the body showing only 1cm of body damage. The body was dressed back into shape and the chassis fitted perfectly with the wheels now turning freely.

Overpainted a few times, no driver or steering wheel. When the paint was stripped the damage to the front was revealed. Now repaired and ready for a coat of paint which will be done in the same cream color. Now finished with repairs, new driver and steering wheel and reproduction box.
