D101 : Dinky Chevrolet El Camino 449

Well played with and well clipped, dented roof, loose window, no steering and bent chassis, good for restoring. The strip down was complete removing also the spring plate. The paint, although original, was quite thick and much care was taken to remove all traces, including the paint embedded in the radiator grille, rear light embellishment etc. The paint in thise areas was removed with a pin while the paint stripper was still soft and re-immersed in the stripper to finish the job. The roof was gently straightened and the windows were repaired with super glue and repolished. The respray was not to the original color but looks good in light blue. Made by Dinky 1961-1963
